What Is The Cleanse Phase?The Cleanse Phase is a gentle 2 day cleanse where you still will be eating food and will not go hungry. We gently cleanse your digestive system in preparation for the nutritious foods you will be eating for the following 14 days. This Phase is optional for some people depending on their medical status.

What if I already eat healthy?It’s great that you are already eating healthy, but are you getting the nutrients your body really needs? The foods you will receive are based on your bloodwork. so there is no guessing - you will know the exact foods that are right for you. Most foods on the plan are very familiar to people, and there can be some new foods as well (it’s up to you if you want to try the new foods or just eat what is familiar). The magic happens because you give your body the right nutrients, in the right amounts, at the right times to reset your hormones (such as your hunger hormone, sleep hormone, and insulin), release inflammation, reboot your metabolism and reignite your energy! While the foods may be familiar, the ratios and daily habits will most likely be new to you. Metabolic Balance has created a program that allows the body to reset effectively and quickly.

Will I be able to have my coffee or tea?Yes! You will still be able to enjoy your morning coffee or tea! Most people are allowed up to 2 cups of tea or coffee with a meal.

Will I have to stop drinking alcohol?Drinking alcohols during the 2 day detox and the 14 day prescriptive eating phase will be counter productive to what you are trying to achieve since it is harmful to your liver and impacts your sleep. After the first 16 days, as you move into Phase 3 of you plan you can enjoy an alcoholic beverage if that is what you wish to do while still working toward your health goals. You and your nutritionist will talk more about this as you enter this phase.

What if I don’t like the foods on my plan?While everyone’s plan is different, most people find there is a wide variety of whole food choices. It is understandable to be hesitant, and even fearful to think that you won’t have any foods you like, but everyone finds familiar foods, foods they enjoy and even new favourites! Most likely you want to make a change for your health, and the choice really is yours to make. The restrictive part of the plan is only 16 days, after that even more foods are introduced and you can bring back alcohol if that is what you desire. There is no better time than now to start because there will always be an excuse, but you have to want the results more than you want to keep doing the same things and getting the same results. What you learn on this plan goes way beyond what to eat - you learn the right foods, the right portion sizes, the right timing, and the right lifestyle habits for an effective reset and sustainable weight loss for long-term health.

What if I have food intolerances?Known food intolerances are taken into consideration when building your plan. You will never be asked to eat anything you are intolerant to.

What if I just want the nutrition plan?If I don't want to attend all the meetings and just want a nutrition plan can I do that? Unfortunately, Metabolic Balance is not designed that way. Coaching is an integral part of the program because both the science of weight loss, and the 20+ years Metabolic Balance has been working with clients, shows that the greatest success and chance of making real, lasting change comes from working with and being accountable to your nutritionist. LifeSHIFT Wellness has seen these exact same results. The closer someone works with their nutritionist - asking questions, showing up for meetings, sending in check-ins and updates on how they are doing - the more success they have short and long term! Making time for meetings is part of solidifying the habit of making time for yourself. Most DIY programs, especially health programs, never get finished because life happens and something always gets in the way with no one to turn to for help to get back on track.

Who doesn't qualify for the program?The Metabolic Reset & Renew Program is based on whole foods, and is safe and appropriate for most people, but some may not be eligible including: ✅ Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. ✅ People undergoing active chemotherapy treatment (though after chemo this program can help restore the body). ✅ Those with severe liver or kidney disease. ✅ Anyone who does not have a health practitioner such as a doctor, naturopath or nurse practitioner to oversee medical records. Since our doctor reviews your bloodwork if there is something that requires further attention, Metabolic Balance will correspond with your health practitioner.

Who succeeds at this program?Any change to your health requires commitment and dedication, especially in the first 3 months.
